For nearly a year, the world has been moved by the plight of Palestine, with many expressing support through various channels.
In Pakistan, designers Nomi Ansari and Maria B. have used fashion to make a statement.
Ansari’s “Threads of Hope” collection, launched in February, featured keffiyeh patterns and aimed to raise awareness.
Actor Hania Aamir supported the cause by wearing his designs at the HUM Style Awards. However, Ansari did not donate proceeds to Palestine.
Maria B.’s “Palestine Collection,” launched later, includes T-shirts and accessories adorned with Palestinian symbols.
She has pledged that all profits from the collection will go to support Palestine. Her designs incorporate traditional Palestinian embroidery and symbols, inspired by Palestinian heritage.
Both designers contribute to keeping the Palestinian cause visible, through high fashion and accessible pieces.
