In a shocking turn of events, Liaquat Ali Chatta, Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division, has resigned from his position, citing electoral irregularities. Chatta made this announcement during a press conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today.
He admitted to the presence of “rigging” in the Rawalpindi Division and took full responsibility for it. Chatta expressed regret over the conversion of losers into winners with a margin of 50,000 votes, stating that this injustice was done to the people of Rawalpindi Division.
“I apologize to the returning officers of my division,” he said, revealing that his subordinates were distressed about the actions they were instructed to carry out. Chatta claimed that even today, election staff are using fake stamps on ballot papers.
Expressing remorse for the harm caused to the country, he stated, “I should be executed in Rawalpindi’s Kachehri Chowk.” Chatta also disclosed that he had been under pressure from social media and overseas Pakistanis, revealing that he had attempted suicide this morning.
