Imran Khan heralds about upcoming elections
Once again Imran Khan, The ex- Prime Minister and founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has predicted that there is no hope of victory for Nawaz Sharif in upcoming elections on Feb 8, even the open support of establishment.
Speaking casually to media during the cypher case hearing at Adiala Jail on Monday, Khan asserted that even a ‘Vigo Dala’ referencing a double-cabin vehicle used by security agencies, wouldn’t guarantee a win for Nawaz Sharif.

About unfair play with PTI candidates:
He accused authorities of thwarting PTI unity, citing police detainments of candidates while the Supreme Court demands proof of alleged anti-PTI activities. Khan stressed that safeguarding fundamental rights falls on the Supreme Court, despite his previous skepticism toward the institution. When asked about relying on a previously distrusted Supreme Court, he stated, “The Supreme Court belongs to all of Pakistan… they have discredited the entire election process.”
“What kind of election is this? They have discredited the entire election. Let me hold just one rally at the parade ground before the election and they will understand. No one can stop the PTI.
He pointed to the Supreme Court’s decision that stripped PTI of its iconic ‘bat’ symbol, affirming, “Our electoral symbol has changed, but not our commitment.”

Blaming Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa
Reflecting on his tenure as prime minister, Khan alleged that former army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa pressured him to grant a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) deal to political rivals, and retaliatory actions were taken when he refused.

Ready to talk with establishment
Once again Kaptan has reiterated his readiness for dialogue, while stating that the establishment is hesitant to negotiate with him, alleging that they have set ‘red lines’.

About court proceeding:
Khan voiced worry about the sluggish progress of his legal proceedings, likening them to a ‘fixed-match’. He accused the Supreme Court of impeding PTI’s election efforts, citing arrests of candidates and workers and urged Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa to intervene firmly, citing breaches of Constitutional Articles 15, 16, and 17. Despite these hurdles, Khan commended PTI supporters for their nationwide protests and the launch of the election campaign on Sunday.

Insisting on the chance to convene a gathering at the parade ground prior to the election, Khan emphasized that PTI’s momentum cannot be halted. Regarding the ongoing cypher case proceedings, Khan underscored the significance of witnesses Asad Majeed and Sohail Mehmood, alleging that the trial lacks transparency and a verdict may be imminent. He voiced worry over the limitations placed on his lawyers’ ability to defend him.
