Losing your phone is bad enough, but imagine dropping it into a donation box at a temple! That’s exactly what happened to Dinesh in India, and let’s just say, his iPhone’s spiritual journey took a detour into the hands of Bhagwan (God).
Dinesh, from Chennai, went to the Murugan Temple to pray and—oops!—his iPhone 13 Pro Max accidentally fell into the donation box. When the box was opened, his phone was discovered among cash, gold, and silver. But instead of getting his phone back, Dinesh was told that it now belonged to God. Yep, Bhagwan was now the proud owner of a top-tier smartphone.
Though Dinesh couldn’t get his phone back, the temple graciously allowed him to delete his photos and videos. I guess even gods don’t need to see your awkward selfies. The temple officials stood firm, saying anything in that donation box is theirs now—don’t even try to donate your phone unless you’re ready to sign it over to the big guy upstairs.
Dinesh tried to explain it was just an accident, but the officials were like, “Phone? What phone? That’s a divine donation now.” Now, the decision on whether Dinesh gets his phone back is in the hands of senior officials. So, in the meantime, his iPhone is either in the cloud… or, more likely, in the hands of the cloud himself.
