Security cameras recorded the man splashing petrol inside the café and then lighting it up.
In Spain’s Seville province, a café turned into chaos when a 50-year-old customer set the place on fire—just because he couldn’t get mayonnaise with his sandwich!
The bizarre incident took place in the town of Los Palacios, where the man twice demanded mayo. Staff explained they had none since the sandwiches were pre-made and the bar didn’t have a kitchen. Furious, the man stormed out, bought 1.5 liters of fuel from a nearby petrol station, came back, doused the bar, and lit it up.

Panic broke out as flames spread, with terrified customers rushing outside. Thankfully, the café staff quickly used fire extinguishers to control the blaze before it caused major injuries. Only the attacker himself was hurt, suffering burns on his arm.
The café suffered damages worth around €7,000. Police arrested the man and moved him to a medical center before charging him. The café’s owner, José Antonio, called the act “madness,” saying, “There’s simply no explanation for such behavior.”
