The world’s largest cargo ship, MSC Anna, has reached Karachi Port today, marking a significant milestone.
Originating from India’s Port Mundra, this immense vessel, measuring an impressive 400 meters in length and capable of carrying 19,368 containers, is set to dock at Karachi port later this evening, ushering in a new chapter in its history.
With awe-inspiring dimensions, MSC Anna will begin unloading its cargo at Karachi port upon arrival, before resuming its journey following a brief one-day stopover. To commemorate this event, a special ceremony is scheduled for May 30, organized by the port administration, to celebrate the ship’s monumental presence and underscore Karachi port’s crucial role in global maritime trade.
“The arrival of MSC Anna, the world’s largest cargo ship, is of great importance to Karachi port,” noted a spokesperson for the port administration. “We are proud to host such a significant vessel and eagerly anticipate the numerous trade opportunities it brings.”
