Pakistan’s meat export industry is seeing remarkable growth, driven by a surge in China’s demand for disease-free frozen meat products.
This year alone, Pakistan has exported meat worth $500 million to China, with numbers expected to climb further.
Leading exporter Organic Meat has ramped up production by an additional 300 metric tons per month to meet this growing demand. China’s preference for Pakistani meat stems from its need for products free of foot-and-mouth disease, a result of Pakistan’s stringent livestock regulations and strategic location.
“The Chinese market holds vast potential for Pakistani meat exporters,” noted an industry expert. “With enhanced infrastructure and rigorous quality control, we can significantly boost our exports and fully leverage this lucrative market.”
This boom in meat exports is prompting other Pakistani firms to invest in the sector, leading to substantial industry growth and new opportunities for farmers, processors, and exporters alike.
