Car sales in Pakistan saw a notable increase of 27.70% during July and August 2024 compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
During these two months, a total of 12,274 cars were sold, up from 9,611 units sold during the same period in 2023.
Breaking down the figures:
Sales of Honda Civic and City models surged to 1,863 units, up from 700 units.
Toyota Corolla and Yaris experienced a 22.18% increase, with sales rising to 2,671 units from 2,186 units.
Suzuki Swift saw a significant boost, with sales climbing by 40.52% to 1,061 units from 755 units.
However, Suzuki Cultus sales fell to 227 units, compared to 482 units last year. Suzuki WagonR sales also decreased to 329 units from 604 units.
On the upside, Suzuki Alto’s sales grew by 16.22% from 4,209 units to 4,892 units, and Suzuki Bolan sales surged to 1,031 units from 312 units.
