“Mango Export Boom” – Pakistan earns $46.7 Million from 42 Nations in Just 1.5 Months

Pakistan’s mango exports have seen a significant boost this summer, highlighting the global demand for its premium produce.

Over the past one and a half months, the country has achieved substantial revenue from international markets.

Pakistan exported 13,681 metric tons of mangoes to 42 countries over the past one and a half months of the summer season, earning $46.7 million, according to official documents .

The highest revenue came from Britain, which imported Pakistani mangoes worth $13.2 million. In terms of volume, Kazakhstan led with 4,467 metric tons imported from Pakistan.

Mangoes, considered the “king of fruits” in Pakistan, are the second most cultivated fruit after citrus. Known for their sweetness, juiciness, and distinctive flavor, Pakistani mangoes are highly regarded internationally.

The country produces about 1.8 million tons of mangoes annually, primarily in Sindh and Punjab.

Key varieties include Sindhri, Chaunsa, Langra, Anwar Ratol, Dussehri, Fajri, Bangan Pali, and Saroli.

In the past one and a half months, exports included major markets such as Britain, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Germany, and Bahrain. The revenue breakdown is as follows:

  • $13.2 million from Britain,
  • $9.2 million from the UAE,
  • $8.95 million from Kazakhstan,
  • $2.2 million from Afghanistan,
  • $1.3 million from Saudi Arabia,
  • $1.7 million from Oman,
  • $1.9 million from Germany, and
  • $4.4 million from other countries.
