Gems of Pakistan Go Global – First Gems & Jewelry Show at HEMS 2025

-

With brilliance, boldness, and a touch of tradition, Pakistan stepped onto the global stage for the first time at the Health Engineering and Mineral Show (HEMS 2025), held at a prominent hotel in Lahore.

Spearheaded by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce, the exclusive Gems and Jewelry Show brought together heritage and high fashion — marking a major milestone for the country’s creative industry. Delegations from across the globe, including China, Nigeria, Senegal, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Turkey, Tajikistan, Malaysia, the UK, Spain, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Korea, the Philippines, Russia, and Vietnam, witnessed a showcase that left a lasting impression.

From the moment the runway lit up, it was clear this wasn’t just an exhibition — it was a celebration. The show paid a glittering tribute to Pakistan’s legacy in gemstone mining and jewelry-making, featuring statement pieces in a fashion presentation that merged elegance with innovation.

Standout collaborations lit up the catwalk — Waseem Jewelers with House of HSY, Almas Jewelers with Munib Nawaz, and Heritage Jewelers with Zonia Anwaar, among others. Educational institutions also played a key role, with the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design’s Jewelry and Gemological Science Department joining hands with Lulusar to highlight the next wave of design talent.

Each collection told a story — through hand-cut emeralds, rubies, gold, and silver — weaving traditional craftsmanship with bold, contemporary aesthetics. This was more than beauty; it was vision, legacy, and forward momentum.

But beyond the glamour, the event was rooted in purpose. With international buyers, trade envoys, and fashion media in attendance, the platform unlocked new doors for Pakistani designers to build global connections and long-term export partnerships.

Directed by the iconic Rizwan Beyg and produced by Takell Events and PR, the show stood as a turning point for Pakistan’s fashion and jewelry landscape.

With this landmark debut, Pakistan signaled its arrival — not just as a source of precious stones, but as a rising force in global luxury, culture, and creative innovation.
