Indian Media reported that Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is embroiled in a legal controversy over her purchase of agricultural land in Alibaug, Maharashtra.

The 1.5-acre plot in Thal village, acquired in May 2023 for ₹12.91 crore, was originally allotted to the Khote family in 1968 under a strict ‘no-sale’ clause, prohibiting transfer without the District Collector’s approval.
Reports indicate that Suhana paid a stamp duty of ₹77.46 lakh during registration, and the property was registered under Deja Vu Farm Pvt Ltd, a company associated with her family. Legal experts argue that the sale violates land transfer conditions, and advocate Vivekanand Thakur has stated that those involved should face legal action.
Authorities are currently investigating the matter. Resident Deputy Collector Sandesh has directed the Alibaug Tehsildar to prepare an unbiased report on the issue. This controversy comes at a time when Suhana is preparing for her Bollywood debut in the film King.
Despite the legal challenges, she has also signed brand endorsements with companies like Maybelline and Lux, and has been building her real estate portfolio.
