Famous YouTuber Faces Serious Allegations of Promoting Online Betting Apps
Pakistan’s digital world was shaken on Sunday as Saadur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, one of the country’s most popular YouTubers, was arrested and sent on a two-day physical remand in a gambling and betting case.

Early morning at Lahore airport, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) swooped in and detained the vlogger as he was returning from a trip abroad. Within hours, he was produced before a duty judicial magistrate where investigators requested remand for questioning.
The court agreed, handing the YouTuber to the NCCIA till August 19, while also directing the agency to provide a detailed investigation report at the next hearing.

The First Information Report (FIR) filed against him carries weighty sections of both the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC):
PECA Sections 13, 14, 25, 26 (related to electronic fraud, misuse, and illegal online activity)
PPC Sections 294-B, 420 (obscene material and cheating/fraud)
According to the FIR, Ducky Bhai allegedly promoted betting and gambling platforms such as Binomo and 1xBet through his YouTube content—apps already banned in Pakistan for violating gambling and money-laundering laws.

Authorities claim such apps lure thousands of Pakistanis into illegal online gambling, causing major financial losses. Officials believe celebrity endorsements, like those allegedly done by Ducky Bhai, add “false legitimacy” to these platforms.
