Ex-Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has stirred controversy, insisting India should skip their Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan.
He argued, “Our soldiers sacrifice their lives, and we go play cricket — that’s an insult. Why give Pakistan such importance?” Echoing the Indian government’s line, he added, “Blood and water can’t flow together.”
The Asia Cup begins September 9 in the UAE, with the India–Pakistan showdown set for September 14 — their first face-off since the April Pahalgam attack. But once again, Indian media and ex-cricketers are busy spreading propaganda before the big game.
Cricket fans worldwide are eagerly waiting for the clash — yet India seems bent on mixing politics with sports, while Pakistan stands firm: cricket should unite, not divide.
