“He Can Have Fun With It” – Trump Mocks Musk’s New ‘America Party’

-

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY — President Donald Trump has shrugged off Elon Musk’s latest political move, calling the billionaire’s new “America Party” a non-starter in the U.S. political system.

Speaking to reporters before boarding Air Force One, Trump dismissed the idea of a third party as “ridiculous,” saying, “The U.S. has always been a two-party country. Third parties have never worked — so he can have fun with it.”

The jab came just a day after Musk publicly announced the launch of the America Party, a bold political venture aimed at challenging Republican incumbents who supported Trump’s massive tax cut and spending package — a bill Musk claims could bankrupt the country.

Trump, standing alongside Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick at Morristown Airport, defended the GOP, calling it a “tremendous success,” while taking a swipe at Democrats, saying they’ve “lost their way.”

Musk’s announcement stirred immediate reaction beyond politics. Azoria Partners, a major investment firm eyeing a Tesla-linked fund, put their project on hold, citing conflict with Musk’s growing political involvement.

Musk, who once advised Trump early in his presidency, now appears ready to go head-to-head with Republican allies in next year’s midterms, aiming to disrupt the very system he once helped shape.
