BRICS Nations Drop the Hammer-Condemn U.S. and Israeli Strikes on Iran

-

The 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro made waves as leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, and Indonesia issued a fiery declaration condemning recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, branding them blatant violations of international law and a dangerous blow to regional peace.

The bloc pulled no punches on Gaza either—calling for an immediate ceasefire, an end to the bloodshed, and full recognition of Gaza as part of the State of Palestine. Their message was clear: a two-state solution, grounded in international law, is the only path to lasting peace.

On the economic front, BRICS took aim at U.S. trade practices, slamming unilateral tariffs as disruptive to global commerce. The leaders renewed their push to overhaul the IMF, demanding a fairer system that reflects today’s global power dynamics—not those of decades past.

In short: BRICS isn’t just talking—they’re challenging the status quo.
