Cyberattack Shakes X – Elon Musk Blames ‘Massive’ Breach for Global Outage

-

Chaos erupted on X (formerly Twitter) as Elon Musk claimed a massive cyberattack had crippled the platform, leaving tens of thousands locked out. But with no evidence provided, speculation is running wild—was this a coordinated assault, or just another crack in Musk’s empire?

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X,” Musk posted, fueling intrigue without offering proof. Some Reddit users linked the disruption to ongoing protests against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an entity Musk oversees under Donald Trump, while others pointed to Tesla store vandalism.

According to Downdetector, reports of service failures flooded in from Asia, Europe, and North America, peaking at over 40,000 complaints. While mobile users suffered the most, even web access took a hit.

Musk suggested that only a nation-state or a highly organized group could execute an attack of this scale. But critics aren’t convinced—since his $44 billion takeover in 2022 and sweeping layoffs, concerns over X’s security and stability have only grown.

As X struggles to restore full functionality, the bigger question looms—is Musk’s empire under attack, or is X simply falling apart?
