Ditch the Blue, Switch to Orange! Kamran Akmal’s Witty Advice to India

-

As India prepares for a high-stakes Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final against Australia, former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal had a playful suggestion—ditch the blue and wear orange instead!

Akmal jokingly advised India to switch colors, seemingly referencing Australian opener Travis Head’s history of delivering big performances against them in crucial matches.

Meanwhile, Basit Ali predicted that India would aim for a big total, emphasizing that their strategy could revolve around Rohit Sharma playing the first 10 overs to set up a score exceeding 300 runs.

Akmal also highlighted the importance of conditions, suggesting India would start cautiously, preserve wickets, and then accelerate in the later overs. He noted that while India could post 350-375 runs in Pakistan, scoring in Dubai would require a more calculated approach.

Discussing India’s squad, Akmal speculated that they might replace Mohammed Shami with Washington Sundar, with Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakravarthy playing key roles. Basit supported the idea, advocating for a spin-heavy lineup.
