At the time, Saif was battling box office setbacks and was visibly nervous about the project. Barjatya admitted that his anxiety even showed in his performance, especially in the song Suno Ji Dulhan.

Released in 1999, the film topped the box office, featuring a star-studded cast including Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Neelam, and Mohnish Behl.
