From a special calling effect to unique New Year stickers, these features are designed to help you share the festive spirit with friends and family worldwide. But don’t wait too long—these features are available for a limited time only!

WhatsApp has introduced a series of fresh updates for the New Year 2025, including a unique calling effect, a special sticker pack, and new features aimed at helping users send their best wishes globally. These features will be available from December 20 to January 3, 2025, so users are encouraged to update to the latest version of the app to access them.

Among the new additions, WhatsApp has launched a festive background for video calls, as well as new filters and effects inspired by the New Year. The app also introduced celebration emojis for both individual and group chats, complete with a confetti animation visible to both the sender and recipient.

Additionally, a brand-new New Year-themed sticker pack and avatar stickers have been made available.

WhatsApp has also continued to enhance its video call effects, adding fun options like puppy ears, a karaoke microphone, and an underwater theme. Plus, users can now select individual participants in group calls without interrupting the conversation. Real-time chat engagement has been further improved with the addition of typing indicators, which show the profile picture and typing status of users in both private and group chats.

To use the New Year stickers, users should update to the latest version of WhatsApp on the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). Once updated, the new sticker packs, animations, and video call effects will be ready to use.
