-

Aamir Khan announced that his film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ will now be released in mid-2025, with post-production set to begin at the end of this month.

According to Indian media reports, Aamir recently provided an update on his upcoming film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ at the Red Sea International Film Festival. He mentioned that the film, which was initially set for release in December 2024, will now release in mid-2025.

He also confirmed that post-production will begin soon, and the film will be ready for release by mid-next year.

Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is a sequel to his 2007 blockbuster ‘Taare Zameen Par’, featuring Darsheel Safary as a co-actor.

Reports revealed that while speaking to Deadline at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Aamir said, “We are coming in for post-production at the end of this month. We will be ready to release the film by mid-next year.”

The superstar further clarified that while the film is a sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’, it will not feature the same characters. “This is a fresh set of characters, a completely new situation and plot. Thematically, it’s a sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’,” he said.

Aamir also discussed several other upcoming projects that will be released under his production banner. He revealed the ‘Lahore 1947’ project, which was directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol. He also mentioned that he is producing a film titled ‘Ek Din’ starring his son, Junaid Khan.

Additionally, Aamir spoke about his third production, a film he’s working on, though he kept the details confidential. For his fourth project, he announced a film inspired by ‘Austin Powers’, written and directed by Vir Das, who will also star in the film.

Currently, Aamir Khan is also busy with his Oscar campaign for missing women.
