A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit parts of Punjab on Thursday, sending shockwaves across several cities, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC).
Panic Grips Citizens as Tremors Rock Gujrat, Jhelum, and Other Areas
As the earthquake struck, residents in affected areas rushed out of their homes in fear, reciting the Kalma-e-Tayyaba. The NSMC confirmed that tremors were felt in multiple cities, including:
- Gujrat
- Jhelum
- Nankana Sahib
- Jalalpur Bhatian
- Wazirabad
- Shahkot
- Bhalwal
No Casualties Reported as Authorities Assess Situation
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. Authorities are currently assessing the situation to determine the extent of any damage.
