Due to road closures in Lahore, a groom had to take his bride on a motorcycle to her home after the wedding. The protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led to road blockages across the city, causing severe disruptions for residents. The complete closure of traffic at Batty Chowk paralyzed daily life. The newlywed bride was also affected by the roadblocks, which left her frustrated.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the bride walking before getting onto the motorcycle. While ordinary citizens faced difficulties due to the closures, the bride and groom also had to deal with the inconvenience.
The road closures also caused problems for patients. A resident from Shahdara had to walk with their sick child to the hospital, carrying an oxygen cylinder along with them due to the traffic blockages.
It’s worth noting that even yesterday, two grooms, along with their wedding parties, got stuck in traffic and were only allowed to continue after much pleading.
