PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasizes that Pakistan’s pride and respect are non-negotiable.

“The Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan, and we will not accept a hybrid model. If India has any issues, they should come to us, and we will resolve them,” Naqvi stated while addressing the media outside Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Naqvi also revealed that he is still awaiting a response from the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding the BCCI’s refusal to send the Indian team to Pakistan for the event. Earlier, the BCCI proposed holding India’s matches at a neutral venue, but the PCB has rejected this suggestion and sought clarity from the ICC.

India has not played in Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, and the Champions Trophy is scheduled for February-March 2025. “If India has concerns about traveling to Pakistan, they should discuss them with us, and we will address them. There’s no valid reason for India to avoid playing in Pakistan,” Naqvi said.
