Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has initiated the “Punjab Dhee Rani Program,” aiming to facilitate the marriages of 3,000 underprivileged daughters in Punjab.
Set to begin on November 30, 2024, this program will be the largest collective wedding initiative in the province’s history.
With a budget of one billion rupees, each bride will receive gifts worth 166,000 rupees and 40,000 rupees to cover wedding expenses, along with a 100,000 rupee token gift through ATM. Essential household items will also be provided to help couples start their new lives together.
Families can apply online at cmp.punjab.gov.pk, and a helpline, 1312, has been established for assistance.
The program aims to alleviate financial burdens for low-income families, highlighting CM Maryam’s commitment to supporting marginalized communities in Punjab.
