High-Speed Horror – Zombies Take Over Japan’s Bullet Train

-

In a thrilling mix of horror and adventure, passengers on Japan’s Shinkansen bullet train found themselves immersed in a zombie-themed experience inspired by a popular film.

A unique event was organized for passengers traveling from Tokyo to Osaka on the Shinkansen, where they encountered actors dressed as “living dead” zombies.

The concept drew inspiration from the renowned 2016 South Korean zombie film Train to Busan.

Typically, the two-and-a-half-hour journey from Tokyo to Osaka is calm and relaxing.

However, a few days ago, this routine trip turned into an unforgettable, spine-chilling experience.

Passengers were shocked when several individuals appeared on the train as zombies, eliciting screams and panic.

Held two weeks before Halloween, the organizers staged this as the first haunted house experience on a high-speed train. Forty thrill-seekers boarded the bullet train to take part.

In Train to Busan, a father and daughter are trapped on a train with zombies, and the film follows their desperate struggle to survive.

This unique experience on the Japanese bullet train was organized by Kenta Iwana from the group “Kowa Garasitei,” meaning “scare squad.” According to Iwana, the goal was to see how passengers would react and whether they would enjoy the thrill.

Most passengers felt the event closely mirrored the Train to Busan film, with many describing it as if they were living the movie themselves.
