Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad to Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan.
Apart from his actual birthday, Amitabh also celebrates another one on August 2.
During the filming of the movie Coolie in 1982, directed by Manmohan Desai, Amitabh suffered a life-threatening accident while shooting an action scene with co-actor Puneet Issar.
The Bollywood king was rushed to a local hospital in Bangalore, where, due to excessive internal bleeding, he was declared clinically dead.
However, on August 2, 1982, after several hours of continuous efforts, medical treatment, and the help of an adrenaline injection, Amitabh Bachchan was brought back to life. Since then, he celebrates this date as his second birthday with his fans.
