Dengue out of Control in Rawalpindi Pothwar Identified as Hardest-Hit Area 47 New Cases Reported in the Past 24 Hours

The dengue virus situation in Rawalpindi has worsened significantly, with 47 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Reports indicate a sharp rise in dengue cases, with dozens being recorded daily.

According to district administration data, the latest figures bring the total number of patients this season to over 719.

At present, 124 patients are receiving treatment at Allied Hospital in Rawalpindi. The administration has launched a spray campaign and implemented other targeted measures to address the dengue outbreak.

The Pothwar region of Rawalpindi has reported the highest number of cases, prompting its classification as a hot spot.
