PM Shehbaz Launches Organ Donor Logo for CNICs – A New Initiative for Life

-

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has unveiled a groundbreaking national program promoting organ donation, introducing a unique logo on National Identity Cards (CNICs) for voluntary organ donors.

“Those who register as organ donors will have a distinct logo displayed on their CNICs, representing their commitment to saving lives,” the prime minister shared in honor of International Identity Day.

He emphasized that organ donation is a selfless act that can provide a new life to those in need. “I urge all citizens to take part in this vital initiative and join a life-saving movement.”

Reflecting on the significance of International Identity Day, PM Shehbaz highlighted the deeper importance of identity in ensuring inclusion, representation, and access to essential services.

He called on citizens, civil society, and government institutions to collaborate in fostering greater awareness and education on identity issues. The prime minister underscored the need to address the gaps in the national registration and biometric system and advocated for the use of digital innovations to improve identity verification and access to services.

“My government remains committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and civic participation, strengthening our nation’s democratic framework,” he concluded.
