Neom Bay Airport Launches Smart Gates to Enhance Passenger Experience

-

Saudi Arabia’s NEOM Bay Airport has introduced Smart Gates as part of a modernization effort to improve passenger processing.

The official launch, held on Tuesday, was attended by key figures including Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi of SDAIA, Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Yahya, Dr. Esam Al-Wagait, and Eng. Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM.

The Smart Gates Project, a joint initiative by the General Directorate of Passports, SDAIA, and NEOM, aims to streamline the airport experience by using advanced technology.

Travelers will now be able to use self-service kiosks to scan their biometric data, speeding up their passage through the airport.

This project is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to improve quality of life through digital solutions and integrate advanced technologies into daily services. The NEOM area, roughly the size of Belgium, is set to become a highly connected and efficient urban center.
