Natasha Danish Tested Positive for Crystal Meth in Fatal Karachi Accident

-

Sindh Inspector General (IG) of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon revealed that Natasha Danish, the driver involved in last week’s deadly Karachi accident, was under the influence of methamphetamine (crystal meth).

The crash on August 19 on Karsaz Road, which involved a speeding Toyota Land Cruiser, resulted in the deaths of Imran Arif and his daughter Amna, with three others injured.

Danish, who has been charged with manslaughter, was placed under a 14-day judicial remand following a court hearing.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s report confirmed that she was impaired by methamphetamine at the time of the accident, although the report has not yet been made public.

Karachi Additional IG Javed Odho indicated that the medical findings suggested Danish was unfit to drive, and the investigation is ongoing.

The FIR includes charges related to rash driving and negligence, filed by Imtiaz Arif, who lost his family members in the incident.
