Deputy PM to Represent in Iran
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is unwell and has canceled all engagements on Tuesday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan at the oath-taking ceremony of the Iranian President in Tehran.
Dar is scheduled to depart for Tehran today to lead the Pakistani delegation.
During his visit, he will also meet with the Secretary General of the Commonwealth to discuss diplomatic relations and regional cooperation.
The government has expressed confidence in Dar’s ability to manage international engagements during Prime Minister Sharif’s recovery.
