Rain Showers Touch Down in Karachi

Karachi residents finally received relief from the heat as parts of the city experienced rain and strong winds, following a forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicting isolated dust thunderstorms and rain.

Dark clouds and dusty winds covered various areas of Karachi, including Surjani Town and Malir Memon Goth, which saw heavy rain and strong winds. Other areas such as Gulshan-e-Hadid, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Nazimabad, and North Nazimabad also received rain. Additionally, II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, and the Old City experienced drizzle, offering a respite from the recent heatwave.

Despite the rainfall, temperatures are expected to rise to between 35°C and 37°C, with a minimum temperature of 31°C recorded in the last 24 hours. Winds are blowing at 12 kilometers per hour, with humidity at 73%. The weather is likely to remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours, with stormy conditions persisting.
