Tik Tok in Pakistan – 12392 contents removed , 329 accounts suspended on Government’s request

In the last six months, TikTok got 303 requests from the Pakistani government. As a result, they took down 93.5% of the reported content.

TikTok has been working closely with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to follow community rules and local laws.

TikTok’s actions show their commitment to handling concerns about inappropriate or sensitive content on their platform.

In their ‘Government Removal Request Report,’ TikTok mentioned removing 12,392 pieces of content for breaking community guidelines and 2,126 pieces for breaking local laws.

They also deactivated 270 accounts for guideline violations and 59 accounts for breaking local laws during this time.

TikTok’s Q4 2023 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report emphasizes their strong efforts in moderating content globally, with a 99.5% rate of removing violating content proactively. They aim to create a safe and respectful environment for users worldwide, including in Pakistan.
