Another Heatwave alert issued in Karachi by PMD

Temperature is expected to exceed 42 degrees Celsius from Wednesday to Friday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued another heatwave warning for Karachi, predicting temperatures to soar above 42 degrees Celsius from Wednesday to Friday.

A heatwave alert has been issued for Karachi, with intense heat expected to persist for three days. During this time, sea breezes will be inactive, humidity levels will hover around 55%, and temperatures will remain high.

According to the PMD, from Wednesday to Friday (May 29-31), maximum temperatures are expected to range between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius. Increased humidity may intensify the heat. On Monday, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 37.8 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 55%.

For today (Tuesday), the weather is expected to be hot and humid, with the possibility of strong winds. In various districts of rural Sindh, the heatwave continues, with temperatures recorded at 51.5 degrees Celsius in Mohenjo-Daro and 51 degrees Celsius in Larkana and Rohri.
